Google released Gemini 3 with Gemini 3 Pro in preview across the Gemini app, AI Mode in Search, AI Studio, Vertex AI, and Google Antigravity. The headline: a major step-change in reasoning, multimodal understanding, and coding — Google's best "vibe coding" model ever.

December 4, 2025 — Deep Think Available
Gemini 3 Deep Think rolled out to Google AI Ultra subscribers in the Gemini app, delivering a meaningful improvement in reasoning for complex math, science, and logic — setting early records on Humanity's Last Exam (41.0%) and ARC-AGI-2 (45.1% with code execution).
February 2026 — The 3.1 Era
Google upgraded the Gemini 3 series twice within two weeks:
- Gemini 3.1 Deep Think (Feb 12) — rebuilt for science, research, and engineering. New benchmarks: 48.4% on Humanity's Last Exam, 84.6% on ARC-AGI-2, gold-medal-level results at the 2025 math and physics olympiads. Also opened to select researchers and enterprises via the Gemini API early access program.
- Gemini 3.1 Pro (Feb 19) — the new flagship of the Gemini 3 series, with more than double the reasoning performance of the original 3 Pro on ARC-AGI-2 (77.1%). Shipped in preview to the Gemini app, AI Studio, Vertex AI, Gemini Enterprise, and Antigravity.
May 2026 — Gemini 3.2 Flash Ships at I/O
Google announced Gemini 3.2 Flash at I/O 2026 — a faster, cheaper general-purpose Flash model positioned between the 3.1 Flash tier and Pro. July 2026 — Flash Models Go GA

- Gemini 3.5 Flash Cyber — a specialized cybersecurity model paired with Google's CodeMender security agent. It is not broadly available: access is limited to governments and trusted partners via a pilot program.
What to Watch Next
- Gemini 3.5 Pro remains in partner testing — delayed past its June and July targets as Google works on coding performance. Until it ships, Gemini 3.1 Pro is the GA flagship. In early August 2026 the model surfaced on LM Arena, Google's usual pre-launch testing ground; based on Google's Arena-to-launch pattern (roughly 1–3 weeks), an August release is widely anticipated but not yet confirmed by Google.
